Bacolod gets award,
RDC chair lauds Bing

The Bacolod Local Council for the Protection of Children chaired by Mayor Evelio "Bing" Leonardia was the first-runner up in the National Search for the Most Child-Friendly City in the highly urbanized city category.

Leonardia yesterday also received a plaque of recognition for Bacolod being the regional winner in the search for the most Child-Friendly highly-urbanized city from Antique Gov. Sally Perez, Regional Development Council of Western Visayas chairperson.

"I hope Bing is reelected because I believe in his politics of performance," Perez said at the RDC meeting in Bacolod.

Perez said she strongly endorses Leonardia in her personal capacity. Mitch Navaels of the Early Childhood Development of Manila, said Bacolod has the most number of five-star day care centers in the country.*
