Fraternal ties The Shun Clan Amity recently held
its 36th national convention in the City of Smiles, sponsored by the Wei Due Fraternity,
Negros Occidental Chapter. It was preceded by the blessing of the new
Wei Due Fraternity Building at Lacson-Mandalagan, where a dragon dance was performed
to usher in good luck and prosperity. Guests proceeded to St. John's Institute
Activities Center for the induction and oath-taking rites of the new officers
and directors for the year 2007-2009 of the local Wei Due Fraternity, a fraternal
association of five prominent family names -- Tan, Yao , Ho, Tian and Goh.
Sworn into office were Jose Tan, Sr - president, Jayme Liu -executive vice president,
Eduardo and Antonio Tan - vice presidents, and the 26 newly elected directors.
Vicente Tan is president emeritus of the association. The event ushered
in the spirit of solidarity as 350 delegates from 17 fraternal chapters throughout
the country attending this year's convention. Among the guests of honor and speakers
were national presidents Yao Eng Hue, Francisco Chua, John Tan, Aw Peng Lam, and
Angel Tan. The culminating dinner was held at Garden Royal, where guests
were entertained by the song and dance numbers rendered by the students from Tay
Tung High School , St. John's Institute and Trinity Christian School and the Wei
Due choral group. *** Reynaldo Eusebio celebrated
his birthday at their Capitolville residence recently. Nearly 200 guests, composed
of his badminton friends from Po Hang, relatives, suppliers and employees attended
the affair. Busy welcoming the guests were Mary Grace Eusebio and children Raymond,
Ayet, Jun-jun, Gio, Gia, Riza, Guila. His employees prepared a surprise
video presentation of their trips with their boss to Thailand, Malaysia , Singapore
and Hong Kong, and rekindled memories and bloopers. His more than 60 employees
presented surprise performances composed of 11 song and dance numbers, as presented
by each of his Galleon branch in Negros Occidental. Reynaldo is the president
and operations manager of Galleon Enterprises Telecom, and is the son of former
Calatrava Mayor Romualdo Eusebio, Sr. Also present were his brothers Ramon, Leo,
Mike, and Romy Eusebio.* |
