A short film made by sophomore students of the Piapi High School in Dumaguete City is a national finalist in the Students’ Independent Film Annual Awards.

“Tabok” is a film about a young boy who painstakingly persevered to go to school despite being poor. It won the most number of awards, including “Best Festival Picture”, in the search initiated by the Department of Education Division of Dumaguete.
