PSC inspects venues
for Phil. Games

BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

Officials from the Philippine Sports Commission are in Dumaguete City to inspect the venues for the 26 sports categories that will be played in Negros Oriental, in line with the Philippine National Games, from May 27 to June 2.

Alona Quintos, senior sports and games regulations officer of the PSC, said the Commission is seeing to it that all the venues are well prepared and that the billeting requirements of athletes, coaches and technical officials are equipped and on standby.

Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria said the holding of the PNG will bring a lot of economic activities, with more than 6,000 visitors expected to spend their money in the city and in the province.

Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo said the provincial government welcomes the hosting of the PNG, in the name of sports and cooperation, in spite of the two calamities that struck the province recently.*JG
