It is in the Spirit of the Lord and our Holy Mother the Church that I greet you, one and all, a fruitful celebration of the Holy Season of Lent.
Lent is a time to reflect on our Christian life, on our life itself. How is our relationship with our Father in heaven who assures us: “Even if a mother forgets her child – I will never forget you!”?
How is our relationship with the person next to us? With people around us? Are we even aware they exist around us? Do we care?
How is our relationship with ourselves? Why my very own self? Do I see myself as a gift of God, meant to be broken at times and shared with others, like the Redeemer and the Lord of mercy and compassion?
So, how do we make the season of Lent, precisely the Holy Week, fruitful and a time of salvation for each one personally and for the community?
Live simply! Live soberly! God bless and let’s pray for one another!* back
