Living the Risen Life
BY REV. SALVADOR L. PARPA JR.

Colossians 3:1 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.”

Paul in his letter to the believers at Colosse, discussed about the spiritual position of a believer who placed his faith to the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every person who believe and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior crucified himself with Christ (Galatians 2:20) and became partaker also of His resurrection (John 14:19).

Living a risen life is not only theological but practical. It is not just a life within the four walls of our Church building but a life outside the wall down to the streets, family, work place and community. The risen life ought to be a living and walking epistle of Christ.

The trouble is, there are so many people who have never been in contact with real believer, real Born-again Christian, they have just been in contact with ”Very religious Church member” whose life was not different from people who shouted Hosanna! Hosanna! during the Lenten season but crucified Christ in their day to day living.

The Word of God through saint Paul is calling you today, “If ye then risen with Christ..….”Make a DIFFERENCE, seek and live a kind of life that pleases the Risen Christ. Amen!*
