bluebook probed

Several prominent personalities are now under investigation after their names and contact details were found in a “bluebook” recovered by the police from the residence of a couple during an anti-illegal drug raid in Brgy. 2, Sunday.

City Police Director Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz yesterday said he is withholding the names of the personalities pending investigation.

“We will check what is their involvement in illegal drug activities in Bacolod City”, de la Paz said.moremoremore

Former jail site
now up for lease

The one-hectare site of the old Provincial Jai in Bacolod City is now up for lease.

Provincial Administrator Enrique Pinongan yesterday said that they are leasing the old site of the Provincial Jail at P75 per square meter per month.

If the whole area is leased, Pinongan said the provincial government is expected to earn P750,000 a month.moremoremore

Bayan official going
after 4 witnesses

The employee of the fish farm, the complainant in the robbery-in-band case filed against him and three witnesses will be included in the charges they will file in relation to his arrest last week, Bayan-Negros Secretary General Christian Tuayon said yesterday.

Earlier, Tuayon said they were set to file perjury charges against the prosecutor who decided on his case claiming he was not given due process.

Tuayon was arrested at a rally Monday last week by joint operatives of the Philippine National Police Intelligence Group, Bacolod City Police and the Army’s Intelligence group on the strength of an arrest warrant for robbery-in-bandmoremoremore
