Local ad agency
wins plum award

ASAP Cebu Advertising Services and Promotions, a Cebu-based advertising and events agency,  won recognition at the "Oscars" of  conference organizers, the Asian Conference Awards 2012, held in Singapore on March 27, a press release from the firm said.

ASAP Cebu organizes the Asian Carriers’ Conference, an annual international conference hosted by PLDT-Smart and attended by over 1,000 delegates from 45 countries.

The agency won the ‘Best Telecommunications Conference’  award, besting three other nominated conferences and event organizers from Singapore and China.

“It was surreal, winning the award over other Asian countries. I am so proud to represent not just Cebu but the whole country as well. We went against big organizations like GP Johnson and Singtel and it was very satisfying to win over them.  I do truly think the team deserves the award for the hard work we did on the event,” ASAP Cebu Managing Director Perl Jacalan said.

The Asian Conference Awards was launched to recognize excellence and reward the very best of the talented individuals and teams in the Asian Conference industry.

With the upcoming 8th Asian Carriers’ Conference, the biggest telecom event in Asia with over 1,000 delegates from companies worldwide, ASAP Cebu adds yet another series of internationally-acclaimed events to their roster which also includes the annual Cebu City Marathon and much publicized Toyota Roadtrek, the press release said.

"We are very proud that our effort has been recognized internationally.  It is such an achievement for our team", Meyrick Jacalan, Creative Director/President of ASAP Cebu said.*
