Two houses were razed to the ground when fire hit a residential area in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City at about 11:05 a.m. yesterday causing P50,000 in damage.
Bacolod City Fire marshal Insp. Publio Ploteña said a concerned citizen informed them that fire hit several houses in Purok Kasilingan and two fire trucks were immediately sent that were assisted by that of the Amity fire volunteer brigade.
Ploteña said the fire reached firs alarm status and was put out at about 11:25 a.m.
Investigation showed that the fire originated from the house of Felix Garsula that is made of mixed materials and spread to the residence of Josephine Garsula.
Ploteña said the fire may have been triggered by an electrical short circuit. He said they found out that the Garsulas were using telephone cable wires for their electrical connection.*APN back
