Tesda specialists trained

Twenty-six specialistas of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in Negros Oriental were trained in marketing and industrious, systematic, time conscious, innovative value for work program in Dumaguete City recently.

Geraldine delos Reyes of Tesda said the training aims to equip the specialistas with entrepreneurship skills, and teach them the principles of market research, how to prepare a marketing plan, and how to set prices on products or services.

It is also part of the activities of the Tesda Specialista Technopreneurship Program, the system that aims to provide alternative job opportunities and contribute to the creation of livelihood enterprises for Tesda-certified graduates, she added.

In Dumaguete City, there are groups in computer hardware servicing, automotive servicing, appliances repair and building/house, maintenance, and appliance repair, Delos Reyes said.

The training was conducted in coordination with the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board of Cebu City.*PIA
