‘Walk for the environment'
slated April 22 in Bacolod

The CFC Singles for Christ, Couples for Christ and their family ministries, Girl Scouts of the Philippines, and the 303rd Infantry Brown Eagle Brigade are inviting the public to join the fun walk called “One Earth: A Walk for the Environment”, on April 22, a press release from the organizers said.

Registration will start at 3:30 p.m. at the SM Events Centre and north parking lot, while the walk will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will take the route from the parking lot to San Juan Street, San Sebastian Street, Araneta Street, Rizal Street, then to the mall north wing, the press release added.

Instead of cash, participants are requested to register with empty plastic bottles, cans or textbooks printed in the last two years. Walkers are also encouraged to bring placards or banners using recycled materials, or wear T-shirts printed with environmental advocacies.

Korean fan club in Bacolod
joins ‘Flashmob with MBLAQ'

The A+Philippines-Visayas Chapter, a fan club of a Korean male group called MBLAQ, that is based in Bacolod City, has joined the “2012 Hope Flashmob with MBLAQ”, a charity event that aims to help sick and poor children, event organizer Catherine Abao, said yesterday in a press release.

The event that started March 30 and will end April 20, is participated in by MBLAQ fans worldwide.

The press release added that Abao said she and A+Visayas members Kyoda Hinata, Arlyn Sevellejo, Rhona Eithan Ruyag, Miqui Guillen, Shermay Carbonell, and Sasha Consing, danced to the song “G.O.O.D Luv” of MBLAQ, Sunday at Robinsons Place Bacolod.
