P5.2-M building to
be constructed
BY MARICAR ARANAS

A P5.2 million multi-purpose building will be constructed in the town of Valencia town, Negros Oriental, starting next month.

Valencia Mayor Ricky Gonzalez said the Ating Coop Partylist gave P3.2 million while the town provided a P2 million counterpart, sourced from local funds.

The two-storey building will house a dormitory and a health facility to complement the rural health center and cater to minor medical needs of residents.

The dormitory will accommodate residents from far-flung sitios and barangays of Valencia, who will have health check-ups or transactions in the town proper, the mayor said.

The construction will be undertaken by the Philippine South Properties and Development Corporation. Gonzales said the Special Allotment Release Order is now available and they are just waiting for clearance from the Department of Public Works and Highways.*MA
