Local COA cannot
answer media questions
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Commission on Audit regional and provincial personnel are no longer allowed to answer queries from the media.

COA spokesman Gilbert Kintanar, chief executive staff of the COA commissioner, has issued a memorandum dated March 22 stating that all requests from the media for interviews should be directed to the COA Public Information Office in Manila.

The directive was issued to centralize all incoming and outgoing communications related to the COA central and regional officer, Kintanar said.

The COA had been underfire for its delay in resolving its review of the sale and lease of the 7.7-hectare Negros Occidental provincial government property in Bacolod City to AyalaLand Inc.*CPG
