P92-M shelter funds The Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 7 said that P92 million in housing funds is available for distribution to local government units in Negros Oriental that were badly hit by tropical storm “Sendong”. Director Ma. Evelyn Macapobre, of the DSWD, however, said none of the affected LGUs was able to comply with the requirements in the release of fund, especially on the availability of a lot where the core shelter houses are to be constructed as local government counterpart. “Sendong” destroyed 4,218 houses and damaged another 3,268, in Dumaguete City and the towns of Sibulan, Bacong, Amlan and Pamplona, in Negros Oriental. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
