MANILA – Oil firms yesterday implemented a sweeping price cut on their petroleum products.
Major players Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell and small player Seaoil Philippines slashed 65 centavos per liter for premium gasoline (including unleaded); 50 centavos per liter on regular gas, 40 centavos per liter on diesel; and 25 centavos per liter off on kerosene effective at 12:01 a.m. yesterday.
Big player Total Philippines also cut prices of the same set of petroleum products, except kerosene, at 6 a.m.
DA seeking partners
for ‘Pinoy tablet'
MANILA – The Department of Agriculture is seeking partnerships for the development of cheap Pinoy tablet computer that will advance agricultural entrepreneurship by empowering farmers with critical information such as soil nutrients and farm goods markets.
The DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics, seek to develop a very affordable tablet computer that will give DA's extension workers—technicians ubiquitous access to critical farm information.
Bacolod PESO preps for
Labor Day jobs fair
The Public Employment Service Office of Bacolod City will conduct two job fairs that will bring in local employers and representatives of recruitment agencies from abroad.
PESO-Bacolod is preparing for the nationwide jobs fair on May 1, Labor Day celebration and the Mega Jobs Fair on June 17 and 18, PESO head Moises de la Cruz said yesterday.
He said they are finalizing the list of overseas and local employers who will participate in the activity that bring in more job opportunities for Bacoleños and Negrenses.
