Binay visits Dumaguete
BY MARICAR ARANAS

Vice President Jejomar Binay said yesterday that he believes former Finance Secretary Gary Teves possessed the perfect qualification to become governor of Negros Oriental.

Binay, who was in Dumaguete City as guest of honor in the 92nd birthday of former 3 rd District Rep. Herminio Teves, said local government units need a good finance manager for economic development since efficient revenue generation is an asset for the LGU.

But Binay did not proclaim Teves as the official candidate of the United Nationalist Alliance in Negros Oriental, saying the group is still building its structure and evaluating its members.*MA
