Scoring 21 points, Roger Montalbo lived up to his billing as Fil-Sino living legend as he steered Royal Star to a 105-87 victory over AACI Transport in Class A of the 2012 Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc.1st Conference Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Montalbo's 15 points in the fourth quarter helped put out the rally engineered by Yan Yan Dy and Jose Miguel Montinola who had a combined output of 23 points. Royal outscored Trading 38-30.

Early in the game, Kenderson Hao and Matthew Yap combined for 15 points as they got things started for Royal Star for a 23-15 opening quarter lead. Montinola dropped seven points for Trading.

Yan Yan Dy scored eight points for AACI Trading as Royal continued to be on top at halftime, 41-37.

Brian Coo continued to pose problems in the lowpost for AACI Trading as he got away with 9 points with support from teammate Yap with 6 points as Royal Star extended the lead to 62-51 at the end of the third quarter.

Dy paced AACI Transport with 26 points in a losing effort. Montinola fired 23 points, Joel Masadia and Chibon Uy had 12 points each.*with a report from Stephe Tan
