Grand opening

A new restaurant recently opened at the ground floor of the Avenue Suites Hotel, Lacson Street in Bacolod City, adding another jewel to the crown of restaurants at this A-one location.

The place called “Trey” was packed with VIPs, movers and shakers and food lovers among the city's cosmopolites, who were enjoying the stylish ambiance, during the grand opening. By the time I arrived, my ‘foodie' group Ninfa, Perla, Buddai and Nena were already seated looking “busog na busog (fully sated)” when I joined them at the table.

The owner, Josephine Agustin, welcomed me warmly and invited me to partake of the array of culinary delights on the buffet table. As I stood up, Perla whispered, “Be sure to get some of the Baby-back ribs, it's terrific!” And what a spread it was: Baby-back ribs, Peri Chicken, Seafoods Skewer, Beef Stroganoff, Salad Bar and yummy Dessert Tower.

Josie, husband Leo Agustin, as well as son Joey and wife Tin, were all over the place, seeing to it that everyone had a good time. A small band set the festive mood with upbeat song numbers. We were told that Trey's started as a dream and became a reality with the help of family and friends. They offer American Tex Mex cuisine, which is a fusion of all-time favorites. This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Josie said they designed their menu around food that they have enjoyed, loved and would like to share to the guests of the restaurant.

We noticed that they also provide quality service through the very attentive staff, who anticipated our every need. The owners' wish is that Trey's would eventually become a Bacolod favorite, where people come to celebrate happy moments and special occasions with their loved ones.
