Ogie, Bitoy to
host new GMA show

GMA 7 will launch its newest comedy-musical-talk-show “Pare & Pare” next month that will be hosted by multi-awarded singer and songwriter Ogie Alcasid, and three-time Asian TV Best Comedy actor Michael V, a press release from the station said.

Ogie and Bitoy will join forces in redefining the Filipino viewers’ fascination for late-night talk shows, which can be engaging and informative, or playful with unscripted comedy. The content of each episode will differ every week, like live interviews with controversial figures and musical performances, the press release also said.

The show’s segments will include “The Week In Review”, “Barako Tips”, “Sabi-Sabi Po”, “Bet Mo, Bet Ko”, and “Masa Poll”, the press release said.

The professional partnership of the two actors, who are “magkumpare” in real life, has gone a long way and has been successfully tried and tested with numerous collaborations, such as the longest-running gag show “Bubble Gang”, “Hole In The Wall”, and “Yaya and Angelina: The Spoiled Brat Movie”, the press release added.*

‘Person subpoenaed not
Ceneco robbery suspect’

Bacolod City Police Director Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz said yesterday that their source in Zamboanga del Sur confirmed that the person who received the subpoena in relation to the P3.6 million heist at the Central Negros Cooperative in March is not the same person charged for robbery-in-band.

De la Paz said Pagadian City director Senior Supt. Michael Palermo confirmed to them that Richard Seding Daguman, who went to Bacolod City on Wednesday to clear his name, is not Richard Cadungog Dag-uman, “alias Tangkad”, a suspect in the CENECO robbery.

He said the middle name and the ages of the two men and even their complexions are different which means they are not the same person.

De la Paz added that Daguman can file a counter-affidavit so his name will be clarified and the Bacolod City prosecutor’s office can issue the subpoena to the real suspect.

Richard Seding Daguman, 30, of Tambulig town, Zamboanga del Sur told the DAILY STAR and ABS-CBN Bacolod, that he was surprised to receive a subpoena on April 14 from the Bacolod City Prosecutor's Office informing him that he is one of the suspects in the robbery at CENECO .

Daguman emphasized that he is innocent of the charges and that he was never involved in any crime in their place. He said he will file his counter affidavit on the robbery-in-band charges against him through his legal counsel and will furnish copies to the CENECO management.

The Dipolog-Ozamiz-Parohinog robbery group is the gang eyed in the robbery at CENECO and is also reportedly still in Bacolod City.

Other members of the group who have already been identified by the city police are Roberto Solis of Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Gaudencio Vardon Monopollo Jr., and Darvin Jay Tibon of Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental, Ruel Alvarez of Tangub City, Misamis Occidental, Reynaldo Bacolod “alias Toto” of Las Piñas City, and Joseph Calarmo of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte,Gernardo Saniel and Ruel Remedios both of Zamboanga Del Sur.*APN
