MANILA – Four oil firms implemented up-and-down price adjustment on their petroleum products yesterday.
The so-called “Big 3” – Pilipinas Shell, Petron Corp., Chevron Philippines (formerly Caltex) – added P0.20 per liter to their respective prices of kerosene and premium gasoline, including unleaded but they also reduced their prices of regular gasoline by P0.35 per liter.
Shell, Petron and Chevron enforced the price hike and rollback at 6 a.m. yesterday.
Free driving assessment
set for bus, truck drivers
The Technical Education Skills Development Authority in Negros Occidental will conduct free driving assessments of all public bus drivers on Aug. 20-31 and Oct. 15-26, TESDA provincial director Lorena Yunque, said yesterday.
Yunque said this is in line with the Department Order No 201-25 of the Department of Transportation and Commissions, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, and TESDA that by January 1, 2013, all bus and straight truck drivers must be holders of a National Certificate for Driving NC III.
Non-NC III holders are not allowed to have their driver's license renewed or issued, she said.
Sale of plants, pets
on until Saturday
The sale of ornamental plants, fruit tree seedlings, flowers, and household pets at the veranda beside N & M Pharmacy at La Salle Avenue in Bacolod City will be extended until Friday, a press release from the organizing firms said.
The sale will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Participating shops Fame Christian Garden and Ralph's Bird, both in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, are also holding a similar sale, the press release said.*
