Members of Sentrong Samahan ng Tsuper at Operators-Negros think oil prices will increase today or tomorrow by P1.50 per liter, its secretary general Jesse Ortega, said yesterday.
Ortega said the total rollback on oil prices reached P7 in the past months but oil companies have also raised the price at an average of P1.50.
He said the price rollback that local drivers enjoyed for a couple of months was a mere showcase and has not addressed their demands for reduced oil price.
Bago hacienda gets electricity
The Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. and the government of Bago City, energized Hacienda Guba, Barangay Don Jorge L. Araneta, Bago City recently, its press release said.
The energization was pushed through despite strong winds and heavy rains with active participation and full support of the city government and the community, the press release said.
It was led by director for Bago City Jacinto Torres, field office manager Leomel Tambanillo, area engineer Oscar Duca and the firm's line crew, the press release also said.

Members of the Negros First Universal Crop Insurance Program are encouraged to file their notice of loss at the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist for their farm losses caused by typhoon Gener.
Dina Genzola, OPA senior agriculturist, said yesterday that NFUCIP has released P189,935 to farmers whose farm lands were damaged by typhoon in the last two months.
She said the program has helped small farmers in their expenses and losses due to calamities and pest infestation since it was launched last year, adding that farmers who registered their lands with NUFICP can depend on it during calamities and infestation.
