Cops nab rape suspect
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

A laborer wanted for rape was apprehended by Station 5 policemen and members of the Revolutionary Proletarian Army Alex Boncayao Brigade yesterday in Brgy. Alangilan, Bacolod City.

Station 5 chief, Senior Insp. Richie Gohee identified the one arrested as Rudy Cabigo. 43, of Hacienda Bantug in Brgy. Alangilan.

Gohee said they had been looking for Cabigo since Tuesday after they received his arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 41 Judge Ray Alan Drilon, who denied him bail.

With the help of the RPA-ABB members led by Joemel Mendoza, they were able to locate the house of Cabigo and arrest him, yesterday Gohee said.

Investigation showed that Cabigo, tagged as the number 19 most-wanted personality in Bacolod, was accused three years ago by the niece of his wife, who was then 13 years old, of raping her at his house in Hacienda Bantug.

Cabigo is now detained at the lock-up cell of police station 5 and will be referred to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.*APN
