Kidnapped woman
back with hubby
BY CARLA GOMEZ

The kidnapped woman rescued by National Bureau of Investigation agents at a San Carlos City hotel on July 25 is now safe with her German husband, NBI Bacolod chief Ferdinand Lavin said yesterday.

The woman and her husband are staying in Bacolod because she still believes that her life is at risk if she goes back to San Carlos, Lavin said.

But she is doing well now and is happy, he said.

The NBI has filed charges for kidnapping, serious illegal detention and multiple rape against Gilbert Escuadro, 34, who was turned over to the San Carlos police for detention, Lavin said.

He said a medico legal report confirmed that the woman had been beaten up.

Escuadro allegedly raped and beat the woman up while he held her captive.*CPG
