4Ps beneficiaries
urged to update status

The Department of Social Welfare and Development is calling on all Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program beneficiaries in Central Visayas to report any change in status, particularly transfer of residence, to avoid removal from the list, its press release said.

Aileen Lariba of the DSWD said they want to ensure that 4Ps beneficiaries receive the right amount of grant in line with their monthly compliance.

She said some families transfer residences without informing the program implementer, resulting in non-monitoring and non-payment of their grants.

The 4Ps is a national government’s anti-poverty program involving conditional cash transfer, sending of children to school, and improving the health of family-beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries receive P6,000 a year or P500 per month per household for health and nutrition expenses; and P3,000 for one school year or 10 months or P300 per month per child for educational expenses, the press release also said.

Lariba said changes in the status of beneficiaries from the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor may be texted to 0915-7984215, the press release added.*
