Vet office staff pass PRC exam

Two personnel of the Provincial Veterinary Office of Negros Occidental passed the agriculturists licensure examinations in Pavia, Iloilo City, recently.

They are Cathyrine Narez and Romeo Espino, Jr. both livestock inspectors of the PVO.

Results of the Professional Regulation Commission show that 1,334 out of 3,518 passed the examination given by the Board of Agriculture in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Narez, a Pagkaon scholar, joined PVO on March 3, 2008 and is the provincial coordinator of the Negros First Animal Dispersa, while Espino, who is now on his 12th year with PVO, is the provincial coordinator for livestock and poultry inspection and registration.

He is also the deputized quarantine inspector of the province.

Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Renante Decena said this means that PVO personnel are now more equipped in technical skills and in theories in delivering livestock services to the community.*LTG
