Grandpa made me
sex slave, teen says

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

A teenager from Moises Padilla town has filed rape charges against her own grandfather who, she said made her a sex slave for seven years.

The charges were filed before the Negros Occidental Prosecutor’s Office last week, Moises Padilla town deputy chief Senior Police Officer 3 Anthony Saing said yesterday.

The victim, 14, whose name is being withheld, was accompanied by her stepfather, who now lives in La Castellana town, in reporting the incident to the police on Tuesday last week.

Saing said the victim was left by her mother with her 58-year-old grandfather, who is a widower, when she was only 8 years old and, since then, she had been molested by the suspect.

The victim has undergone medical examination to prove her claims, while the suspect continues to deny the allegations, the police said.

Saing added that it took the victim a long time before filing the complaints against her grandfather because she was afraid.

The suspect was arrested Tuesday last week and is now detained at the Moises Padilla police station. He will be referred to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old vendor filed complaint at the Bacolod City Women’s and Children’s Complaints Desk Monday claiming that her employer touched her private part, a source told the DAILY STAR.

The case is now under investigation by WCCD for the possible filing of charges.*APN
