First Lt. Roel Morales Jr. of the 302nd Infantry Brigade based in Camp Leon Kilat, Tanjay City, in Negros Oriental, was named the Dental Service Civil Military Operation Officer of the Year at the 58th anniversary of the AFP Dental Service in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City, recently, a press release from the Brigade said.

The award highlighted the annual celebration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines DS.

Morales received the award from AFP Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Jessie Dellosa and BGen. Reynaldo Torres, chief of the AFP-DS.

A native of Cagayan De Oro City and a graduate of the Centro Escolar University College of Dentistry, Morales was commissioned as lieutenant in 2009, and has been providing oral health care services to the troops and their families in Negros Oriental, the press release said.

Col. Francisco Patrimonio, brigade commander, commended Morales and urged the soldiers to exert all their efforts and be more inspired to accomplish every mission of the unit, the press release added.*
