Our suitors raped
us, teens say

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

Two girls, aged 14 and 19, reported to the police that two brothers who they said are their suitors sexually assaulted them at their house in Murcia, Negros Occidental, last week.

Dinero, head of the Murcia town police station Women and Children Complaints Desk, said the victims, whose names she withheld, had been reported missing since Friday.

She said the parents of the 19-year-old reported to the police that they received information that the two girls were at the house of the suspects, aged 20 and 25, whose names were not disclosed pending their arrest.

An operation was launched on Sunday to rescue the teenagers but the two suspects were not around, Dinero added.

During the investigation at the Murcia police station, the 14-year-old said that she was raped by the 25 year-old suspect, who, she said, is her suitor, when they went to their house at about 4 p.m. on July 10 while the 19-year-old said the 20-year-old suspect, who is also her suitor, molested her at about 8 p.m. Friday.

The two victims underwent medical examination but the results released by their doctor Monday, showed that only the 14-year-old was positively raped as her sex organ had lacerations, Dinero said.

The 19-year-old will also undergo psychological evaluation to prove her mother’s claim that her mental development is slow and that she has been traumatized by what happened to her.*APN
