Mons Vic’s big day
Msgr. Victorino Rivas, president of the John Paul II National Institute for Studies and Research Center in Bacolod City, recently celebrated his 67th birthday, at the institute.
Rev. Norman Segovia, a very good friend of the celebrator, was the special guest from California, who sang the opening prayer with the San Sebastian Cathedral Choir.
The officers of the Canon Law Society of the Philippines also made it to the celebration, led by Monsignors Bernie Pantin, president; Gammy Tulabing, vice president of the Visayas; and Board director Gene Velarde. Msgr. Vic is the chair of the Committee of Ways and Means of the CLSP.
Bacolod Mayor Bing Leonardia, who had just arrived from Thailand, and Bacolod Bishop Vicente Navarra were among the well-wishers, as well as priests from the north and south dioceses of Negros.
Dinner was served buffet style and featured a crispy cow lechon, among the many mouthwatering dishes offered, and delicious desserts, salads and cupcakes.*
Remember: When we are forgiven, no record is kept of our failures. Christlike love is patient with the faults of others.* |
