New WV police chief vows
zero tolerance vs. crimes

BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz, newly-installed regional police director of Western Visayas, yesterday vowed to implement “zero-tolerance” on all crimes and illegal activities.

PNP personnel who commit unlawful actions will be justly punished or sanctioned, if proven to have committed the offense, Cruz said in his speech during the traditional flag raising held yesterday at Camp Martin in Delgado, Iloilo City.

Impartial and swift justice shall always be our priority in dealing with every issue that confronts the PNP, he said.

But while he will be swift in dealing punishments on those who will go on the wrong path, Cruz said, “We will be quick in giving rewards to deserving personnel.”

Six more outstanding police personnel in Region 6 were conferred with the Medalya ng Papuri by Cruz yesterday.

Cruz also issued an appeal to the men and women of Police Regional Office 6 to give their full support and cooperation to all the endeavors, he will put into action during his term as WV police director.

He said he will give emphasis to the PNP Integrated Transformation Program-Performance Governance System, which aims to transform the PNP into a highly capable, effective and credible police service.*GPB
