2 meted 10 years
for attempted slay

Two Bacolod residents were sentenced yesterday to 10 years imprisonment for frustrated homicide.

Bacolod Regional Trial Court Judge Philadelfa Pagapong-Agraviador sentenced Roberto Ledona and Ramon de la Peña to four year, two months as minimum to ten years and one day as maximum penalty.

They were also ordered to pay the heirs of their victim, Dionisio Almanon, P681.75 representing actual damages and P5,000 for exemplary damages.

They were accused of hitting Dionisio Almanon with cane knives, steel pipes and a hammer at his house in Barangay 35, Bacolod City, on August 9, 1998.*CPG
