About 101 families in barangays Buenavista and Cansilayan in Murcia town, Negros Occidental, yesterday received their free residential patents from Mayor Andrew Montelibano and City Environment and Natural Resources officer Joan Gerangaya, a press release from the town said.

In Cansilayan, more than 8,000 square meters were distributed to 30 families during the turnover ceremony that was also attended by Vice Mayor Gerry Rojas, Sangguniang Bayan councilors Johnny Reosura, Ajun Santiago, Shiela Gela and Adrian Olimpo; municipal assessor Randy Gamboa, Ruel Villarosa, and barangay captains Clemente de la Peña of Salvacion and Isidoro Rodrigazo of Buenavista, the press release said.

The distribution is a continuing program under the “Handog Titulo ni Andrew” program, in partnership with CENRO and the Municipal Assessor’s Office, the press release added.*
