GK activities to remember

Gawad Kalinga is holding a series of activities to show heroism towards fellowmen starting tomorrow to Aug. 27, its press release said.

The participating volunteers come from Bacolod and neighboring cities, it said.

Louie Gamboa, the GK Volunteer Coordinator in Negros Occidental, said they will hold feeding programs, coastal clean ups, school refurbishing, tree planting and builder's camps in celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day and National Heroes Day.

This will involve cities like Bacolod, Silay, Cadiz, San Carlos and Kabankalan, he said.

“On this week, show us what you will risk, what you will sacrifice, and what you will give for this country,” Gamboa said, as he urged the public to join their activities.

Those interested may contact Maryel Dormis at 09082623361, the press release added.*
