Oti hopes for UNA solution to guv bet
BY LISA GAPAC

Silay Mayor Jose Montelibano, who confirmed that he is seeking re-election in 2013, yesterday said he hopes the issue over whom the United Negros Alliance will field for governor will end well.

Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. has said that he is seeking reelection but Vice Governor Genaro Alvarez also said he is the choice of the Nationalist People's Coalition for governor of Negros Occidental.

Montelibano admits that he does not know yet the formula for settling the issue, but said UNA members being together is good for the province and for the cities and towns of Negros Occidental.

He said he is in one with other UNA members in calling for unity and that he hopes the party will never break up, because if it happens they will never be united again. *LTG
