After absorbing its first loss at the hands of CVG, 0-1, during the opening match, Teleperformance Team A bounced back by sweeping all their next four games in the elimination round with goals from Pepito Ibrado, Justin Serios, John Cacho and Clark Salmo.

Teleperformance Team A beat sister team TP B, 2-0, edged Transcom, 1-0, dumped Panasiatic, 3-1, and prevailed over Teletech, 1-0, to top the elimination round with 12 points, the press release said.

Team-B, on the other hand, failed to sustain its 3-0 opening day win over CVG and lost all their remaining matches to finish fourth runner-up, it said.

In the semifinals, CVG went up against Teletech, TPFC-A clashed against Transcom.

Both games ended 0-0 at regulation and had to be settled on a shootout. Teletech failed to convert any of their attempts CVG slotted in a goal to advance to the finals. TPFC-A, meanwhile, had two goals courtesy of Cacho and Mark Pahilanga, while keeper Katsume secured the win by saving two close attempts from Transcom, the press release said.

In the championship match, Convergys dominated the first half and had several clear shots on goal but Katsume thwarted all their attempts to earn the best goal keeper award.

Teleperformance buckled down on defense in the second half and scored three goals delivered by Pahilanga, Stephen Gepaya and Philip Gonzales.

The tournament drew participation from the five BPO companies in Bacolod -- Convergys, Teletech, Transcom, Panasiatic and Teleperformance with guest players from the Panaad United Football Club headed by tournament organizer Kay Ferrer of CVG, the press release added.*
