De la Cruz seeking re-election
BY LISA GAPAC

Board Member Nehemias de la Cruz, Saturday confirmed that he is seeking re-election in 2013, and said he hopes and prays that the issue over who will run for the governor's office under United Negros Alliance will be settled.

Earlier, Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. had announced that he is seeking reelection but Vice Governor Genaro Alvarez also said he is the choice of the Nationalist People's Coalition for governor of Negros Occidental.

"As I see it, even now, Marañon still thinks that he will run as governor and his vice governor is still Alvarez, and he still hopes that the partnership of Marañon-Alvarez in UNA will push through," de la Cruz said.

He said he believes all the issues are just product of malicious intrigues. *LTG
