The program started with the grand processional entrance of the incoming and outgoing presidents, followed by the invocation and the national anthem.

Celia Ferrer acknowledged the guests, Em Ang gave the welcome remarks, Asuncion Gupalor presented the new members, Thelma Watanabe led the ceremony of hope, Nena Nolido the oath-taking, and Isabel Kilayko the Soroptimist pledge.

A video presentation about president-elect Melba Leonardia Tan, entitled “A Woman at Her Best”, was voiced over by Babes Sola.

Gracing the occasion were Soroptimist International Philippines Region governor-elect Myra Paz Abubakar, who was introduced by Dr. Cecile Salvador, Bacolod Mayor Bing Leonardia and wife, Elsa, and Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson. Sonia Verdeflor delivered the closing remarks.

The projects of the club include the “Adopt a Barangay”, headed by Emma Lipa; “Balay Pasilungan” by Ang and Blanquita Lemoncito, and free feeding and outreach programs in various daycare centers and barangays in the city, led by Araceli Mirano and Inday Pefiangco.

Remember: Though we are sad, still we can smile. Though we are betrayed, still we trust. Though we are hurt, still we love. Though we are confused, still we understand. It's all because we still have God.*
