Fatality in motorcycle
accident identified
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

The man killed in a motorcycle mishap in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, and initially tagged as “Mr. X,” has been identified by his family, traffic investigator Police Officer 3 Wilson Go, said yesterday.

Go said Jubert Gulayan, 22, of Brgy. Cabugwason, Bacolod City, turned out to be a back-rider and not the driver of the motorcycle as earlier reported.

Investigation showed that Gulayan was riding on the Racal motorcycle driven by Rogelio Orac that was heading east of the Alijis road when it collided with the approaching Bajaj motorcycle driven by Nico Eder, 21, of Brgy. Minoyan, Murcia town, Negros Occidental.

Go said the Bajaj motorcycle was trying to overtake an aluminum van when the accident happened.

Eder and his passenger, Nonoy Avelino, 22, of Minoyan, and Orac, were also injured and are being treated at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital.

The police report did not indicate whether the victims were wearing helmets.*APN
