NPBC RJ bowlers
lead finalists

NPBC RJ Stars, FRM Mktg. and Davies Fusion I earned the last final berth to the championship on Friday by defeating their opponents in their respective division of the 19 th Sharp Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Tournament at the New Top's Millennium Plaza in Bacolod City.

The NPBC squad coached by Steve Po composed of Jaime Chua, Willy Mahilum, Hernand Garciniego, and Abe Leong outclassed Mulo Car Aircon Team headed by Romulo Ramos in the knocked out match, 314-304 to advance in the battle for the class A division crown.

Ramos' group challenged RJ Stars for the last trip ticket to the finals by ripping Davies “C” piloted by Romel Jover in the opening game.

The first two finalists in the same category are top seed Kami Mga Hubin of Robbie Elegado and Irne Diaz' Sharp Team.

FRM/Sharp represented by Irne “Pretty Boy” Diaz, Fil Magbojos and Fred Empio grabbed the last final slot in the men's non-rated department by beating St. Joseph High School Alumni Association II, 335-301.

FRM will now join Canvil Knights led by Bokdel Del Rosario and Ulysses “The Roadrunner” Pacheco, and Candles Alimon Steel piloted by Melot Alimon in the battle for the title on Aug.31.

St. Jo II downed sister team St. Jo I for the right to face FRM in the knocked out game.

It was Vilma Robles Davies Fusion Team that claimed the last final berth in the women's bracket by dumping Tiger Eye anchored by Cecil Biendo, 323-299.

The first two finalists were Condura ASSFBI Ladies headed by Juliet Regollo and St. Joseph Alumni Association anchored by Minnie Chua.

Meanwhile, the tournament's top 10 bowlers will compete in the battle for the master's crown, tonight starting at 6 p.m.

KMH anchorman Wilson Casas is the top bet among the top 10 aspirants for the title in the premiere class.*
