exhibit opens today

An exhibit on “Transport and Mobility: Accessibility and Safety…Injury Prevention for People with Disabilities” will be opened today at Robinsons Place in Mandalagan, Bacolod City, a press release from organizers said.

The activity, that is in line with the celebration of the International Day of PWDs, is organized by the Project C.A.R.E.S., or Community Activities Reaching to Everyone through Services, in cooperation with the Association of Disabled Persons, Alyansang may mga Kapansanang Pinoy, and the Civilian Anti-Crime Operative Force Bacolod, the press release also said.

December 3 is dedicated to promoting an understanding of disability issues and mobilizing support for the dignity, rights and wellbeing of PWDs, who, the World Health Organization reported, comprise around 15 percent of the world’s population, or one billion people, the press release added.*
