The Bacolod City government will provide free live showing of the fourth fight of Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao and Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez on Sunday in eight venues in Bacolod City, Acting Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson said yesterday.

As in the past, this free viewing is being provided by the city through Mayor Evelio Leonardia, he said.

Sayson also said “Together with our people, let us pray for Manny's victory in this coming fight.”

The eight venues are the Sum-ag gym in Brgy. Sum-ag, Tangub gym in Brgy. Tangub, Handumanan gym in Brgy. Handumanan, J.R. Torres Elementary School gym in Brgy. Singcang, Taculing Barangay Hall in Brgy. Taculing, Granada gym in Brgy. Granada, and Banago Elementary School gym in Brgy. Banago, Executive assistant Butch Soliguen said.

The biggest venue is the BAYS Center, he said.

The live showing will start at 8 a.m. and will be free for everybody.

Meanwhile, City Administrator John Orola Jr. said the fun run “Run for Progress” held Sunday to help rediscover the potential of the southern portion of Bacolod City, was attended by about 500 participants including fitness personality Valerie Concepcion.

The participants included a 70-year- old man from Silay and others came from Don Salvador Benedicto and Cadiz City, he said.*CGS
