EMB bowlers top
AFINO tournament

EMB Capital Lending Corporation won the championship in the Association of Financial Institution of Negros Occidental 2012 Annual Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The EMB bowlers topped the eliminations, and clinched the title by beating BACECO Finance Corp. in the finals, 566-499.

The members of the winning squad were Edjie Balayo, Jeffrey Jamero, Maila Balayo, Leo Besanes, Carlo Boyero, Zernan Alimon and Jun Edgar Guerrero.

BACECO advanced to the finals after winning over Creditline/Monarch/First Finance – Cadiz/GRP in the semifinals, 508-499. Creditline settled for the second runner-up honors by beating First Standard Finance Corp. in the quarterfinals.

Carlo Boyero and Maila Balayo of the EMB Team took the master's crown after defeating their rivals for the tournament's top 10 bowlers.

Meanwhile, the three-day NSL organized Non-rated Trio Bowling Tournament rolls off tonight at the Super Lanes.

The three-day 9-game tournament will have the top three teams vie for the title in an up-the-ladder system to determine the champion.

The second round will be played Thursday and the last day of the eliminations is on Dec.11. The championship round is set on Dec.13.

The champion will receive P7,000 worth of gift certificates , while the first and second runners-up will bring home P5,000 and P3,000, respectively.

Registration is at P1,500, excluding alley fees. Games will start at 6 p.m.*HLG
