Mission and mercy

The Rotary Club of Bacolod, Marapara held a medical and dental mission recently at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Brgy. Calumangan, Bago City, Negros Occidental, Dec. 1 with more than 300 residents availing of the medical and dental services, provided by volunteer doctors, nurses and dentists from the Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital and the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

The mission was held in memory of Mariano Lim, past president of the club, through a family foundation chaired by Lina Manaloto Lim. It was led by Dr. Renier Gerochi.

Club officers and members, and the medical team were treated later to a hearty lunch at the seaside residence of the Lims.

The outreach program was very successful and everybody is now looking forward to the next mission.*
