Eco tourism sites eyed
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Bacolod City government is looking at Barangays Punta-Taytay, Sum-ag, Cabug and Pahanocoy in Bacolod City as possible eco-tourism site projects, Bacolod City Administrator John Orola Jr. said recently.

Orola said they will come up with a design to be submitted to the Sagguniing Panlungsod of Bacolod.

He also said there is a group that is looking at the potential of the riverbank of Brgy. Sum-ag as a tourism attraction, similar to the Loboc River in Bohol.

They are also looking at Barangays Pahanocoy and Punta-Taytay as a potential for mangrove farming and a place where people can commune with nature, he added.*CGS
