Negros Occidental now has 1,574,784 voters for the May elections next year, Provincial Elections Supervisor Jessie Suarez said yesterday.
The number is broken down as follows:
FIRST DISTRICT - Calatrava – 45,837, Don Salvador Benedicto – 12,570, Toboso – 23,124, Escalante City – 52,514 and San Carlos City – 72,028;
SECOND DISTRICT - Manapla – 27,718, Cadiz City – 85,132 and Sagay City – 66,557;
THIRD DISTRICT -- E.B. Magalona – 33,204, Murcia – 43,786, Silay City – 72,595, Talisay City – 56,042 and Victorias – 52,074;
FOURTH DISTRICT - Pontevedra – 28,810, Pulupandan – 16,339, San Enrique – 15,467, Valladolid – 21,291, Bago City – 85,921 and La Carlota City – 38,066;
FIFTH DISTRICT - Binalbagan – 34,380, Hinigaran – 45,714, Isabela – 33,227, La Castellana – 37,522, Moises Padilla – 24,180 and Himamaylan City – 58,941;
SIXTH DISTRICT - Candoni – 11,895, Cauayan – 43,573, Hinobaan - 25,724, Ilog – 29,373, Kabankalan City – 57,845 and Sipalay City – 33,993; and
BACOLOD CITY -- 259,302.
