Airport shoe rule clarified
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Passengers flying out of the Bacolod Silay Airport yesterday asked why they were required to take off their shoes before entering the pre departure area when it had been reported that this will no longer be required in Philippine airports.

Bacolod-Silay Airport manager Mecine Reyes said the Office of Transportation Security at the airport has not received a memorandum yet on the matter.

OTS Supervisor Charmie Rojo of the Bacolod-Silay Airport said the memo lifting the requirement for passengers to take off their shoes only covered terminals 1,2, 3 and 4 of the Ninoy Aquino International.

She, however, said she would follow up the query of passengers passing the Bacolod-Silay Airport.*CPG
