One-stop-shop for permits
set Jan. 2 at Gov’t Center

Bacolod City’s One-Stop-Shop for the application and renewal of business permits will operate Jan. 2 to 20, 2013 at the Bacolod City Government Center.

Permits and Licensing Division head Vicente Petierre III said they have been preparing since last month and have sent the letters to national and local offices in Bacolod informing them that the venue will be at the government center.

Past experiences, had shown that the period allotted for application and renewal of business permits was not enough, so they will ask the Sangguniang Panlungsod for an extension, he added.

Petierre said innovations will be implemented to discourage fixers and ensure that clients in Bacolod will receive the proper service.

They will have people watching over during the One-Stop-Shop for any illegal transactions, he added.

The Permits and Licensing division is open to all complaints of clients particularly if they concern fixers, employees or non-employees, Petierre added.*Shiela May Gelera
