More overseas positions
open for skilled workers

An overseas recruitment agency representing 38 companies in Middle East countries will be in Bacolod City on December 17 and 18 at the Public Employment Service Office for its special recruitment activity, PESO Manager, Moises de la Cruz, said yesterday.

The companies are based in Riyadh, Dammam, Malaysia, Dubai and Qatar. They need skilled workers like electricians, mechanical workers, machine operators, carpenters, plumbers, painters, welders, drivers, cooks, waiters, and, house helpers, de la Cruz said.

Other job vacancies are for engineers, recruitment officers, clerks, architects, storekeepers, cashiers, bakers, optometrists, merchandisers, pipe testers and fitters, website designers, and data entry operators, he also said.

De la Cruz said this is a good opportunity for jobseekers because qualified applicants will leave January next year, and this will be their best Christmas gift if they get hired.

He also reminded applicants to check the licenses and registration of agencies with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration to avoid illegal recruitment.

Meanwhile, a total of 393 applicants were hired on the spot during the jobs fair recently at Robinson’s Place Mall-Bacolod, out of the 2,707 applicants. *Niña CarminaNidal
