LJP Trading bags top spot in
NSL bowling tournament

LJP Trading/NPBC beat league leader Knights and Rey B Team to capture the championship of the “1st NSL Non-rated Trio Bowling Tournament” at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Fifth overall was the LJP squad composed of Gil Villagante, Jam Morales, Hernand Garciniego and Ed Panes who grabbed the No.2 spot in the up-the-ladder championship.

In the semi-finals, the NPBC team defeated seeded No.3 Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc./Silverado of Cecil Ramon Silverio in a heartbreaking contest, 339-337 to earn the right to challenge Knights and Rey B/Sharp headed by Rey Balaan.

Uy welcomes coaches’ group

Regional director Robert Uy of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas welcomed the formation of the Basketball Coaches Association of Negros headed by Bobby Tee of Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

Uy, owner of Toyota Motors in Bacolod and Panay, and guest speaker during the event thanked BCAN for recognizing his SBP leadership and congratulated some 20 local mentors who attended the induction ceremony on Wednesday at Apollo Restaurant Shopping.

Uy lauded the group and handed over to Tee an undisclosed amount as seed support to the future projects of the association.
