SP to tackle city’s 2013 funds
BY ADRIAN NEMES III
The Sangguniang Panglungsod of Bacolod is set to take up the proposed P1.275 billion budget for next year in the session today, Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, said yesterday.

Sayson said the SP Committee on Finance and Appropriation, headed by Councilor Al Victor Espino, is expected to present the results of the committee hearing on the budget proposal held Monday.

He said the budget will either be accepted as it is, or may be reduced.

Espino said the budget for next year is about P20 million more than this year’s. He said they also appropriated a certain amount for the hiring of additional employees on the request of the department heads.

After the presentation of the outcome of the committee hearing, the budget may be approved in second reading, Espino said.*APN
